The stage‑lord ruling battle ground,
The string‑holder where troops are bound,
King Bhoja shone with arts and might,
His wisdom carved in verse and rite.
Eight‑three grand chapters, vast in frame,
Seven‑five hundred verses claim,
Vastu’s law in halves is told,
Of temples, forts, and gardens bold.
From Vishvakarman’s dream it came,
Revealed to Bhoja, sealed in name,
Masters old—Maya, Narad’s lore,
Their teachings guide the text once more.
Site and measure, form and line,
Proportion set by law divine,
Pillars, arches, domes arise,
With doors and beams that touch the skies.
In chapter thirty‑one we find,
The flying crafts of wondrous kind,
By fire, wind, and magnet drawn,
They soared for war or journey on.
Some claim they prove an ancient flight,
Or alien craft in Bhoja’s sight,
Others dismiss as mythic dream,
A poet’s fancy, not a scheme.
This text preserves a nation’s art,
Its wisdom plays a timeless part,
A mirror of Bhoja’s age and flame,
In Vastu’s world it holds its name.
