Those Ten Steps

No land was dry when I woke,
No sky was clear of the smoke;
The ocean churned in the deep,
While ancient seeds were asleep.

The silver Fish took the lead,
To plant the biological seed;
He swam the tide and the spray,
To steer the vessel away.

The mountain sank in the floor,
The waves crashed onto the shore;
The shell of Kurma was cast,
To make the boundary last.

The mud was deep in the mire,
The land was burning with fire;
The Boar dug into the clay,
To lift the world to the day.

The pillar broke with a roar,
A shadow stepped to the floor;
The beast and man were combined,
To wake the primitive mind.

The step was short but was wide,
To tame the king in his pride;
The youth walked over the plain,
To measure cosmic domain.

The stone was shaped to a blade,
The tribal forces obeyed;
The heavy axe cleared the wood,
Where early ancestors stood.

The crown was set on the head,
Where moral citizens tread;
The law was brought to the state,
To govern destiny's gate.

The chariot rolled to the fight,
The flute played into the night;
The master guided the wheel,
With cosmic wisdom and steel.

The prince walked into the shade,
Where worldly illusions fade;
The mind turned inward to see,
The truth that sets the soul free.

The white horse runs in the sky,
The iron cycles must die;
The sword will strike at the prime,
To reset biological time.
